This week’s Outfit of the Week comes from one of the most fashion forward guys we know, who also happens to be one of our Me My Suit & Tie models and a personal friend.

I popped over to his residence earlier this week for a green tea and as a man who tends to be ahead the curve, pick his brains on the future of men’s fashion as he sees it.

He was getting ready for a night out and when I arrived it quickly dawned on me that when he invited me over for a cuppa, what he actually meant was come over and make it for me. I popped the kettle on to boil, fed his overweight cat (again) and looked through what seemed like every draw/cabinet in his kitchen looking for the right equipment to complete the perfect brew.

An upside down kitchen, one stuffed cat and two perfectly boiled green teas later, he was ready to explain his views on the male fashion industry. Notably how the gap between street wear and formal men’s dressing is lessening. He explained how a blazer with a t-shirt, ripped jeans and trainers is becoming increasingly more visible amongst the fashion conscious individual.

It seems that dressing down your suit jacket or dressing up your casual wear seems to be the trend of 2015. We continued to discuss, agreeing and disagreeing on a number of issues (such as the best diet plan for a feline). Although there was one thing we both agreed on, which was you can’t beat a well fitted, killer suit with a beautiful pair of shoes.

As it happened, his look for that particular evening was a great example of a smart casual mix and because of this, I decided to take a few snaps for this weeks Outfit of the Week.

So there it is, a great example of how to dress down your blazer or suit jacket. Obviously, not ideal for those more formal occasions but another trend option for your smart/casual wardrobe.
